ABOUT THE SERIES
An exciting era in Australian motorsport has arrived.
New to our shores but well established internationally, the Australian LMP3 series is fully sanctioned and endorsed by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and CAMS. The series will run established ACO Sprint cup regulations with practice, two qualifying and two x 1 hour races at each of 5 championship rounds.
All rounds are open to local and international drivers, and the LMP3 Cup Australia uses the FIA driver classification system, allowing the following driver combinations:
Single driver car: Bronze
Two driver car: Bronze/Platinum, Bronze/Gold, Bronze/Silver, Bronze/Bronze
Now drivers can race these amazing cars on Australian soil, and maybe even start their journey to Le Mans with the championship prize being entry to the Asian Le Mans series.
The two most popular chassis manufacturers have already committed to provide trackside support for cars and spare parts at each event, and Oreca will also be present for Powertrain support.
LMP3 Cup Australia will provide:
• Professional racing environment
• Administration and category management staff
• Event hospitality
